A Studienkolleg is a preparatory course designed to help international students whose secondary school certificates are not recognized as equivalent to the German Abitur. It equips students with the necessary subject-specific and language skills to succeed in German universities. Its required to pass through the FSP.
International students whose school-leaving certificates do not qualify them for direct admission to German universities are required to attend a Studienkolleg. This ensures they meet the academic standards necessary for higher education in Germany.

You can book your German language exam in our Academy section, whether or not you have taken a course with us. If you have studied independently and only need to take the exam, that’s possible too!
The exam must be taken at an official certified training center.
We register you at the nearest certified exam center after discussing the location with you.

After completing the 12-month Studienkolleg and mastering the German language, you are eligible to take the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP). Passing this exam is mandatory for admission to a German university, and you have only two attempts to succeed.

Before joining a Studienkolleg, you need a strong foundation in German. Our language courses are designed to prepare you for academic success and meet the language requirements for university admission in Germany.

A minimum of B2 is required to enroll in our Studienkolleg. You can start with B1 but have to get certified for B2 within 2 months.
A Studienkolleg is a preparatory course designed for international students who want to study at a German university. Over two semesters (12 months), you will develop the necessary academic and language skills to pass the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP), the qualification exam required for university admission.

The exam process may vary slightly by test center but generally follows this structure: Before entering the exam room, students’ IDs are thoroughly checked. They then gather in a classroom and must surrender all electronic devices. Seats are arranged with minimum spacing, and an invigilator monitors the exam. Tests are distributed, the time is tracked, and after completion, the invigilator collects the exams.
