The W-Course (Business and Social Sciences Course) at the Studienkolleg is a preparatory program designed for international students who wish to pursue higher education in economics, business, social sciences, political science, law, and other related fields at a German university. The course provides the necessary academic foundation to succeed in these fields and prepares students for the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP), the exam required for university admission in Germany.

The W-Course focuses on enhancing German language proficiency alongside subject-specific knowledge essential for business, economics, law, and social sciences. It equips students with the skills needed to perform well in the FSP exam and prepares them for the academic challenges of university studies in Germany.

Upon successful completion of the W-Course and passing the FSP, students will be eligible for admission to universities in Germany to pursue a variety of business, economics, and social sciences degrees.

Exam Procedure

The exam process may vary slightly by test center but generally follows this structure: Before entering the exam room, students’ IDs are thoroughly checked. They then gather in a classroom and must surrender all electronic devices. Seats are arranged with minimum spacing, and an invigilator monitors the exam. Tests are distributed, the time is tracked, and after completion, the invigilator collects the exams.
